Oh Boy, let me tell you that now I’m on my own my I am normally not this busy doing stuff.

Just last weekend I had Stacey’s parents over and her dad helped me cut out a new shelf for the kitchen as it was sagging.  This weekend I’m working on the web newsletter for scouting in what was my local area and then I’m helping my mom with stuff on sunday.  And quite posibly I’m going out again with friends.

This for me is a new experience, most weekends I’d just sit around the house and do squat.  Now I’m going out, helping people and other things.

I think I like this.

Another thing we had to do was get something for our closet to organize our clothes a lot better.

I completed my first project by installing full shelves in the pantry.  The first photo says it all, we got two half shelves when we got the house.

I’ve finally moved all of my big stuff that I needed help with, as you can see with this blog entry I do have internet access.  Photos will be up shortly, as most of you won’t be able to make it to the house right away.

I have a few more boxes to go thru, then after that I turn around and celebrate x-mas.

Well, I have one more day before we get the house. I can’t wait to get the keys.

So were approaching the finish line for the house, All of the electrical has been completed and inspected (another blog entry), were in the process of finalizing our mortgage, the appliances have been ordered, TV and internet have been arranged, We see our lawyer in two weeks and a few days later we close the deal.

Man, talk about a wild ride. Which will be complete when everything is all in the house.  Only 4 more weeks, I can’t wait.

Now this is what’s happened to me this past week

My Girlfriend and I go view a few homes last weekend and had a gut feeling on one of them.  Luckily that house has an open house the following day so we both go and view it again.  That’s when we made the decision to put an offer in on it.  So we got in touch with our broker and was able to put the paperwork together for that evening as our broker presented the offer.  When the home owners counter offered with a few minor changes we were happy to accept. 

Within the next two days the home inspection was completed and we were happy with the report.  We also had our mortgage approved the following day so we went from Saturday to as I type this on Thursday night doing all of this.  And I can’t thank My Girlfriend enough for her help in this as well.

We have a few more things to work out and then everything should be final

As you may know, local television want’s to get more money from the cable companies and if that happens the cable companies will get more money from their subscribers.

This is where I live life outside of the box

1. Bell Canada owns 15% of CTVglobemedia (look up CTVglobemedia on Wikipedia to get this stat) which owns the local CTV Stations in Canada, I see a conflict of interest here.
2. Rogers has a local TV channel where I live, if they support them shouldn’t they support other local Television stations.

And that’s what I think …  outside of the box!!!

I haven’t been able to think of a very specific thing to talk about so I’ll just write about what I’ve done and anything cool I’ll do or about to do so hello world, I’m back!!!
